Soap Opera Fans Are Protesting ABC At Lincoln Center Today

Tuesday, May 17th, 2011

Frankly, I can’t think of a worse fate than being confronted by a mob of angry Susan Lucci fans in the rain. I beg for mercy to all those who stand in their way.

Irate viewers are taking their fight to the streets of the Upper West Side over ABC’s decision to cancel All My Children and One Life To Live. They’ve planned a rally for 2 – 6 pm today outside Avery Fisher Hall (vicinity of Broadway/Columbus & 64th).

ABC (which is headquartered nearby on Columbus, btw. 66/67) is holding a large meeting with advertisers at Avery Fisher Hall starting at 4 pm. The protesters want those advertisers know they plan on boycotting the network until their favorite soaps are reinstated.

If you’re interested in reading more, some of the details read like a soap opera, minus the music, incest, murder, affairs, mystery illnesses, cheating, lying, backstabbing, and reincarnations.
