Special Event Screening: Gabriel Over the White House

gabriel-over-the-white-house The Film Society of Lincoln Center is holding a special screening tonight of the classic film Gabriel Over the White House. Come to Walter Reade Theater (65th between Columbus and Amsterdam, upper level) to see the classic 1934 film about a president who becomes a crusader who allows nothing—not even the Constitution—to stall his single-minded plan to save the country. The screening will be accompanied by a discussion with one of the nation’s leading cultural historians, Professor Morris Dickstein, followed by a signing of copies of his latest book on the Great Depression, Dancer in the Dark.
