The Jewish Community Center (Amsterdam at 76th) is holding a special screening tonight of the film Next Year in Bombay, a documentary that is still in a rough cut.  The film centers around Sharon and Sharona Galsulkar, the last educators of their Indian Jewish community, which has been residing in the Bombay region for 2000 years and is now disappearing.  After the screening, a special discussion with Rabbi Leon A. Morris will be held on the topic “Renewal and Depletion: Contemporary Jewish Life in India.”  Come out to see the intriguing new film and participate in the discussion sparked by the film’s themes.
