Starting Next Week: Jazz Legend Winter Series at Whole Foods
The new Whole Foods Market in Columbus Square (Columbus near 97th) has been offering a plethora of free events and specials since its opening, with the store working hard to connect with its community. One such offering, the Jazz Legend Series, brings the heritage of the neighborhood to Whole Foods by honor the great musicians that played at Mikell’s Jazz Club, the former resident of 97th Street and Columbus Avenue. After a short hiatus, the Jazz Legend Series is coming back with a winter edition. Starting next Friday and each Friday after that, come to Whole Foods from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm for performances by local jazz legends, tastings of the local flavor, Sugar Hill Beer (coming from Harlem Brewing, Co. and based on prohibition brews that were served in the speakeasies uptown), and the spirit of our community.
