West Side Spirit reports that a thief has committed a series of robberies across the Upper West Side.  The burglar has attempted to remove the lock cylinder to the door of several local businesses over the last couple of weeks.  City Brows (Broadway at 82nd) reported the lock cylinder removal and $200 cash stolen on November 25th.  Laytner’s Linen & Home (Broadway at 82nd) was struck on November 26th, and while the lock cylinder was removed, nothing was stolen.  On November 28th, another business, Discount Health and Beauty (72nd between Columbus and Amsterdam), reported a similar incident and the theft of cigarettes and electric razors.  Police also believe the thief is responsible for several other similar businesses’ reports, including Capezio Boutique (Amsterdam at 69th), Kidville (Columbus between 82nd and 83rd), and Dovetail (77th and Columbus), who reported a break-in on November 20th.
