Just a quick update on subway service as you try to make your way home tonight. If you missed it earlier, a massive water main break on the Upper West Side has severely impacted service on the A/B/C/D lines.

UPDATE: Almost 7:30 pm and A/B/C/D are still crippled according to the MTA’s website. I’ve heard numerous reports from people that, unsurprisingly, the 1/2/3 are packed with people trying to find alternatives north. Tonight would be a good night to walk…

As of around 5:20 7:30 pm, the following updates were available:

  • A Trains: Not running between 59th Street-Columbus Circle and 168th
  • B Trains: Entire line is suspended south of 145th
  • C Trains: Entire line is suspended
  • D Trains: No service between 34th Street/Herald Sq. & 161st Street/Yankee Stadium

Check MTA.info for updates.
