Summer HD Festival at Lincoln Center Ends Today
The popular 2010 Summer HD Festival concludes tonight with one more great screening. Come to the plaza at Lincoln Center (near Columbus and 64th) to see a free screening of one of Lincoln Center’s amazing opera performances that took place at The Metropolitan Opera, Carmen. Director Richard Eyre’s acclaimed new production of Bizet’s masterpiece stars Elīna Garanča in the title role, Roberto Alagna as Don José, Barbara Frittoli as Micaëla, and Teddy Tahu Rhodes as Escamillo. Get there early for the 7:45 pm screening, as the limited seating is first-come, first-served. Better yet, head to the Metropolitan Guild Learning Center a pre-screening lecture, Classic Carmens, taking place at 6:00 pm.
