SummerStage Shows To Be Announced Via Twitter
The City Parks Foundation, the group that runs the mostly-free summertime concerts at Central Park’s SummerStage, has announced that the 2011 season will come out soon through Twitter. A portion of the upcoming 26th SummerStage season will start to come out on Friday, April 1st at 12:00 pm, and one SummerStage performance will be announced each day for twenty days, culminating in the full season announcement of over 300 artists at over 100 performances in all five boroughs on Thursday, April 21st. The Tweets will not only be leaking some of the most anticipated artists of the summer, but will offer fans a chance to win exclusive prizes and preferred venue access. Running from June until the beginning of September and including performances ranging from American pop, Latin and world music to dance, spoken word and family programs, SummerStage offers a huge variety of performances, guaranteeing something for everyone.
