SummerStage Winding Down
Believe it or not, the sun is setting earlier, the heat wave has started to break, and summer is starting to come to a close. Another way to tell autumn may be upon us is by checking Central Park’s SummerStage schedule. The series of free and benefit concerts, taking place at Rumsey Playfield (mid-park, near 69th), is winding down, with only three more concerts scheduled. Come to the venue today for fantastic weather and a great free show. Chrisette Michele, Mario, and Tamia are slated to fill the park with beautiful contemporary soul this afternoon. After today, the only remaining SummerStage shows are scheduled take place on September 21st, when Pavement brings 90′s underground alternative back with a benefit concert, and September 26th, when Gypsy music is celebrated in a free show with an array of Gypsy dancers and musicians. Make sure to head out to enjoy SummerStage while it lasts.
