Sunday 4/10/11: Free Passover Cooking Demo & Tasting At Zabar’s

Saturday, April 9th, 2011

zabarslogoZabar’s and the JCC are teaming up tomorrow to provide a free cooking demo and tasting of “easy and elegant” Passover dishes. The event will be led by JCC Manhattan’s Chef Instructor, Shaya Klechevsky.

Some of the highlighted dishes include ginger-leek matzoh balls in lemongrass broth, mouthwatering lemon-mint artichoke braise, decadent horseradish-potato mash, scrumptious almond & olive oil tuile cookies.

Obviously the event is open to everyone, so even if you’re not cooking for the holidays or celebrating Passover, stop by and nosh a little!

There will be two sessions, both taking place in the Housewares Mezzanine (2nd floor) at Zabar’s (Broadway, between 80th and 81st).

Session 1 – 2:00 to 3:45 pm
Session 2 – 4:00 to 5:45 pm
