• Tomorrow is the 5th Annual Japan Day in Central Park. The event will help support earthquake and Tsunami relief efforts, and will be held rain or shine.

  Festivities kick-off at 11 am and will continue throughout the day. Admission is free, but donations will be accepted, both in person ad via www.japandaynyc.org. Events will take place at the Rumsey Playfield & Bandshell area (roughly between 70th & 72nd, just east of The Mall).

• JCC in Manhattan (Amsterdam & 76th) is holding their first-ever spring Eco-fair. A full day of events is planned, starting at 1 pm.

• The Columbus-Amsterdam Business Improvement District is hosting Manhattan Valley Family Day from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Amsterdam from 106th to 110th streets. DNAinfo has all the information (2nd part of the article, after the section on today’s free bicycle helmet event).
