Last week, a pair of tickets to a star-studded UWS fashion show was auctioned off to benefit the Foundation for the National Institutes of Health, and the winner paid a pretty penny to be part of the action. The show, called “The Heart Truth Red Dress Collection Celebrity Fashion Show” and taking place at Lincoln Center at the start of the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week on February 9th, features a slew of celebrities modeling red dresses created by some of the biggest designers working today. Continuing its tradition of raising money and awareness for women and heart disease, this February’s show is sure to be packed with famous faces. Past years have featured modeling from Heidi Klum, Kim Kardashian, Joan Collins, Tori Spelling, Vivica A. Fox, Amanda Bynes, “Wonder Woman” Lynda Carter, and Kimora Lee Simmons. After a week-long auction through Clothes Off Our Back, the winning bid for the tickets was $1,000, further proving that the Fashion Week shows are next to impossible to attend unless you are famous, important, or just plain rich. If you want to help the show’s cause, another auction will begin tomorrow for a designer red dress worn by one of the celebs in this year’s show. Check Clothes Off Our Back starting tomorrow for details. [Source: Racked NY]
