UPDATE 9/28: The festival kicks off today — click here for a full schedule and tickets
The 50th New York Film Festival kicks off in just over two weeks and tickets are now on sale.
For 16 days and nights (9/28 – 10/14) there will be films and special events galore at the Film Society Of Lincoln Center, right here on the Upper West Side.
There’s literally so much information your head may explode — FilmLinc staff are cranking out new content/posts almost every day.
The festival is broken down into 12 different programs:
- Main Slate
- Special Events
- 50 Years Of The New York Film Festival
- Cinema Reflected
- HBO Directors Dialogues
- Midnight Movies
- On The Arts
- Views From The Avant-Garde
- Cineastes/Cinema Of Our Time
- Men Of Cinema: Pierre Rissient & The Cinema Mac Mahon
You can view the full schedule here.
Tickets range in price from $10 to $70, depending on the event/screening and the type of ticket you’re buying.
I believe most tickets are in the $20 – $24 range ($16 – $20 for FilmLinc members), but there are a variety of passes and packages that can save you money.
