sorkinsorkin-apartmentNew York Times business reporter and NBC news regular Andrew Ross Sorkin just purchased an Upper West Side apartment at a surprising closing cost, according to Curbed.  The three bedroom coop at 118 West 79th Street (near Columbus) had been listed at $2.295 million (after being sold in 2004 for $1.85 million), but Sorkin and his wife purchased the home over the asking price, with the closing price coming to $2.315 million.  Perhaps Sorkin knows something about the New York real estate market that we don’t, and smells a bull market to come?  Check out the full story and photos of the beautiful apartment in question at Curbed.
