Times Reporter Andrew Ross Sorkin Pays Over Asking Price to be an Upper West Sider

The three bedroom coop at 118 West 79th Street (near Columbus) had been listed at $2.295 million (after being sold in 2004 for $1.85 million), but Sorkin and his wife purchased the home over the asking price, with the closing price coming to $2.315 million.
