The retail portion of Columbus Square (808 Columbus, between 97th and 100th) is gradually opening its doors, with Whole Foods Market and Michaels leading the way, and another grand opening is scheduled next week.  T.J. Maxx, the discounted clothing retailer with ubiquitous locations throughout the country, is opening its doors at 8:00 am next Thursday, October 29th.  Like Racked, we will cross our fingers that the store attempts to use the “Maxxinista” campaign to improve its old image and make it a nice place that’s worth checking out.
