Tomorrow at Borders: Cal Ripken Jr., Jill Zarin
We know, it does sound like an odd lineup, but don’t worry, they aren’t appearing together… first, Borders Columbus Circle (in the Time Warner Center) is hosting baseball great Cal Ripken Jr. tomorrow at 1:00 pm for an appearance and book signing. The Hall of Famer will be on-hand to sign copies of Hothead, the first book in his new kids’ baseball fiction series.
Later on tomorrow, Lisa Wexler and Jill Zarin, two of the authors of the book Secrets of a Jewish Mother, will make an appearance to sign copies of the advice book. Last time Zarin made an author appearance at the store, she wasn’t too well-received… the star of The Real Housewives of New York City had made such a villainous reputation for herself that she got a healthy mix of both Zarin-haters and Zarin-fans at her signing. We will just have to wait and see tomorrow if the anti-Zarin crowd makes another UWS visit.
