Tomorrow: Central Park’s Halloween Ball 2009

It’s time for one of the “10 best events in New York,” the Central Park Conservancy’s 14th Annual Halloween Ball. This bash is one of the biggest fundraisers for the Conservancy, which restores and manages our beautiful park. Tomorrow’s event will be a unique and luxe black-tie (or costume) gala, with cocktails, dinner, and dancing among some of the city’s elite. If you go, don’t miss out on one of the most anticipated moments of the evening, a costume contest with luxury prizes and celebrity judges. The ball is held at the bandshell, mid-park near 72nd. This year’s “Twilight” theme enhances the ”glowing autumn sun eerily setting behind the park’s tree line and leaving us in the looming shadows of the night.” Individual tickets start at $400, and tables of ten start at $15,000. If you can afford it, the gala is not to be missed, as it is often considered the Halloween bash of New York City, and it benefits a very worthy cause.
