night-sky-amnhEach month on the first Tuesday, The Hayden Planetarium, with ongoing support from NASA, offers the public a glimpse of the world’s largest cosmic atlas, extending from Earth to the greatest distances yet charted by astronomers.  Virtual Universe is an interactive tour of the universe that surrounds us—the longest trip you can take while staying in New York. This month’s edition features astrophysicist Eric Gawiser, who will see some of the actual data sets used to find dark matter and dark energy in the universe and learn how their presence was revealed.
