Tonight at the Museum: Learn How to Brew Beer

Tuesday, March 15th, 2011

beereventThis month’s edition of Adventures in the Global Kitchen, the American Museum of Natural History’s awesome culinary series, is all about a hobby that tends to be overlooked by New Yorkers… home beer brewing.  Spatial limits and other factors have caused many city dwellers to view home beer brewing as impossible.  Erica Shea and Stephen Valand, proprietors of Brooklyn Brew Shop, had this concern in mind when they designed kits made to accommodate the space-inhibited brewer.  Join Shea and Valand as they discuss the basics of home brewing, the special considerations of brewing in a small space, and their experiences in the craft brewing circles of the United States.  Home-brewed tastings included.  Cheers!
