Tonight in Riverside Park
Looking for a great outdoor event tonight? Interested in helping to keep our favorite park to the west, Riverside Park, beautiful? Then come to tonight’s 12th Annual Benefit Gala for Riverside Park Fund. The benefit is called “Broadway at the Boat Basin” and features a performance from one of Broadway’s great leading ladies, Kelli O’Hara. The gala, which takes place at the 79th Street Boat Basin Café, includes cocktails, the performance, and dinner, followed by dessert and coffee. Tickets start at $300, a portion of which is tax deductible, as proceeds benefit the Riverside Park Fund.
On the other spectrum of events, Riverside Park is also hosting a free walking event tonight. Walk NYC is funded by Empire Blue Cross Blue Shield, aiming to get New Yorkers fit while enjoying the outdoors. Walks take place in parks throughout the city with trained walking instructors to lead walks.
