Good read over at DNAinfo, where they published a “Top 10 Family Friendly Restaurants on the Upper West Side” list yesterday.

@ReporterLeslie does a great job of going into detail on each selection — it’s not just a quick sentence or two about each place.

You can view the full-story here — definitely work clicking over.

I don’t have kids, but this strikes me as required reading of sorts if you do and you live in the neighborhood. Even as a non-parent, I found it interesting how certain restaurants go out of their way to set up kid-friendly environments.

For those of you without kids or only a passing interest, here’s the quick list without any details:

  • Alice’s Tea Cup (102 W. 73rd, at Columbus)
  • Big Daddy’s (2454 Broadway, West 91st)
  • Ditch Plains (100 W. 82nd, at Columbus)
  • Fatty Crab (2170 Broadway, West 77th)
  • Gabriela’s Mexican Restaurant & Tequila Bar (688 Columbus, at West 93rd)
  • Good Enough to Eat (483 Amsterdam, at West 83rd)
  • Henry’s (2745 Broadway, at 105th)
  • Kefi (505 Columbus, at West 85t)
  • Shake Shack (366 Columbus, at West 77th)
  • Viand Cafe (2130 Broadway, West 75th)
