Despite rumors that the food market Trader Joe’s may not expand to the long-awaited 72nd and Broadway location, the TJ spokespeople remained affirmative about its opening when asked about a separate rumored location.  The Observer contacted Trader Joe’s last week to inquire about a possible new location on Sixth near 22nd, and despite a denial of that location’s future plans, the rep reminded media of a “confirmed” store opening on 72nd and Broadway sometime next year.  Trader Joe’s remains tight-lipped about further details for the location, but with the casual confirmation comes more hope that we can see the awesome store in our neighborhood in the not-too-distant future.
