It’s My Upper West Pet Week!  Each day this week, we will spotlight an awesome Upper West Side pet, giving them a little local fame.  Today’s pet is Lila, a Hound mix who is about 5 or 6 years old.  Lila was just adopted by her owner Tracy a couple of weeks ago, after Animal Haven shelter in Soho rescued her from a kill shelter in Georgia.  Lila now lives in the west 60’s, enjoying getting out to The Ramble in Central Park.  She needs a lot of TLC (it is clear that she was abused), and is shy around humans, but she is a social butterfly with other dogs in Central Park.  Lila’s new mom calls her “an absolute sweetheart” and “pure awesomeness.”  Welcome to the Upper West Side, Lila!
