Upper West Side Celebrity Real Estate: Alec Baldwin’s Eldorado Pad Hits Market For $9.5 Million

Mentioned the other day that Alec Baldwin, one of the more visible celebrities in the neighborhood, is leaving the Upper West Side. Now his apartment at the Eldorado (300 Central Park West) has officially hit the market.
Curbed has the details (full listing at Corcoran) of the $9.5MM, 3,000 sf, 3 BR, 3.5 BA (plus staff’s quarters) apartment.
Despite his decision to leave the UWS, Baldwin recently gave an interview to the New York Times in which he professed his love for the neighborhood:
“It is more real,” he said. “There’s old people, it’s ethnic and it’s economically mixed. It’s not a little kind of jewel-box, privileged pocket of the city like some neighborhoods are.”
The “jewel-box, privileged pocket” comment sounds out of place given that he’s, you know, selling his apartment for almost $10 million, but if you read the full interview it kind of makes sense.
The article has a bunch of other Baldwin tidbits, including his future political plans, if your interested in such things.
Baldwin is known for responding directly to fans via his Twitter account, and MUW reader @davidjanet recently asked the 30 Rock star what he would miss most about the UWS.
“Riding my bike to the GW Bridge…” wrote Baldwin.
