At left, paparazzi snap a photo of Halle Berry and daughter Nahla taking a stroll in Central Park on Monday. The actress is currently in town shooting New Year’s Eve, the follow-up to the movie Valentine’s Day. Berry will be spending more time in the city later this year, as she was recently confirmed to have signed on to do the Broadway play The Mountain Top opposite Samuel L. Jackson. Also spotted on the Upper West Side recently was John Lithgow. An anonymous My Upper West tipster spotted the actor and his wife having a leisurely breakfast at Nice Matin (79th and Amsterdam) on Friday morning, enjoying his-and-hers newspapers. The tipster describes the couple as relaxed, “like they were in their own home,” noting that “the only thing missing was their fuzzy slippers!”
Finally, Twitter sightings from last week included Upper West Sider Cynthia Nixon, who was spotted again in the neighborhood, this time with two of her kids, according to @jmagNYC, and Susan Sarandon, who was spotted by @ThePartyGoddess walking into Landmarc restaurant in the Time Warner Center and looking “amazing.”
