Upper West Side Deal Alert: Cheap AMC Movie Tickets (No Expiration Date)

AMC had a great deal on cheap movie tickets last month (I bought eight and received them in the mail a few weeks ago with no problems) and now they’re back with something similar, although this time there’s an additional option.

You can purchase four tickets for $27 ($6.75/ea) that have a few minor restrictions, or four for $33 ($8.25/ea) that have no restrictions at all. Neither type of ticket expires, so you can use them whenever it’s convenient.

Four vouchers will be mailed to you, which you can then exchange for tickets at any AMC theater in the US (ex. AK & HI), including AMC Showplace, Loews, Cineplex Odeon, Magic Johnson, and Star theaters.

The “Gold Experience” vouchers (4 for $33) have no restrictions. The “Silver Experience” vouchers (4 for $27) have the following restrictions:

  • Valid only for movies that are two weeks out from their original release date.
  • Not valid for special engagements.
  • Extra charges may apply for 3D, IMAX, ETX, Dine-In theaters, alternative content, and premium services and locations.

That first bullet is the biggest caveat, but I’d rather wait two weeks and see a movie for half-price. The slightly more expensive “Gold” tix are still a great deal if you’d prefer to have 100% freedom.

The two big theaters on the Upper West Side are both AMC (Broadway & 68th and Broadway & 84th), as are many theaters through Manhattan, including the Upper East Side, 34th Street, Kips Bay, East Village, and Flatiron District. The AMC on 42nd Street is listed as “AMC Empire” — I’m not 100% sure if this is included in the deal or not.

Click here for the deal though BuyWithMe (Purchase by 11:59 pm Tuesday)
