Two Upper West Side deals for today:

Screme Gelato, with locations at Broadway near 70th and 94th near Amsterdam, is offering two of their new gelato drinks for $5, discounted from $10. You can choose between the “Pure Passion,” which is vegan and blended from passion-fruit sorbet, or the “Scremo,” which is “an awakening mixture of ground espresso beans, milk, and an alarm clock set to Barry Gibb accompanied by piccolo.”

Today’s other deal is for a one night stay at the Empire Hotel (Broadway & 63rd). I realize most people reading this already live on or near the UWS, but the site does get some tourist traffic and some locals might be looking for a place to put up friends or family for a night. For $269 (this INCLUDES tax), you’ll get a standard queen room and a bottle of wine delivered to said standard queen room.
