Upper West Side Filming Location: Damages
Glenn Close’s TV show Damages is filming in the lower 70s around Amsterdam and Broadway today. They’ve been out since this morning and production is supposed to continue through the end of the day.
I took the picture to the right a little while ago, and it shows they’re filming at four different neighborhood locations: Verdi Square (that’s the park surrounding the 72nd Street 1/2/3 station), Citrus Restaurant (Amsterdam & 75th), 73rd Street (no additional info), and 155 W. 74th (I think this is a private residence).
Tipster Davita spotted them filming in Verdi Square earlier this morning — by the time I passed by that area around 3ish they seem to have finished. I did catch them wrapping up at the Citrus site around that same time. I spoke to one of the PAs who said they’re continuing to shoot throughout the day and evening (the “No Parking” signs say until 11 pm), but I didn’t get any other specifics beyond that.
Anyway, if you’re in that area on your way home from work or later this evening and are wondering what the camera crews are for, there’s your answer.
