The new CBS series Person Of Interest is filming in the neighborhood today. The show is produced by Hollywood heavyweight J.J. Abrams and stars Jim Caviezel and Michael Emerson, among others.

OnLocationVactions (h/t to MUW follower @_ErikaLeigh) reports that signs were spotted in the vicinity of Columbus and Broadway, around 62nd and 63rd streets.

Person Of Interest debuts on CBS later this month (9/22). According to CBS scheduling chief Kelly Kahl, the show was the network’s “highest testing drama pilot in 15 years.” The plot, per Wikipedia:

Mr. Finch (Michael Emerson), a mysterious billionaire, has developed a computer program that predicts the identity of people connected to violent crimes that will take place in the future. However, the program has its limitations: for example, it cannot predict whether the person will be a victim, perpetrator, or witness, nor can it predict when or where the crime will take place. Unable to stop the crimes on his own, Finch hires John Reese (Jim Caviezel), a former CIA agent who is presumed dead, to help stop the crimes from taking place.

Apparently CBS is so high on this series that they’ve bumped CSI – a Thursday night staple for 10 years — to Wednesday.
