Upper West Side Openings

The Upper West Side has some new clothing stores, just in time for the holiday shopping season. Brooklyn Industries opened its 15th location on the Upper West Side earlier this month. The store, located on the southeast corner of 99th and Broadway, has been open since November 12th, according to the brand’s blog. Also recently open is Comptoir des Cotonniers, a French boutique. The clothier, located next door to the new Rag & Bone on Columbus between 68th and 69th, expands from the Soho store to be the second NYC location. It opened its doors on Saturday to the public, complete with fresh paint and exquisite (translation: pricey) French clothing.
Finally, My Upper West tipster Jonathan reports that a new brick oven pizza shop has opened. Buca, located on 103rd near Amsterdam, opened a few weeks ago in the former space of a “bad Middle Eastern place.” Perhaps a higher-end brick oven pizza shop will do better than the former eatery.
