A new restaurant named Snack Bar is opening on 84th and Amsterdam in a couple of months.  The space, which used to be a Light Forms, will serve American cuisine and will “bring a Lower East Side feel uptown,” according to the owner.  Thanks to Buddy, who operates the recently-opened Mathnasium across the street, for the photo and info.

Also opening soon is a restaurant on Columbus between 107th and 108th.  A sign reportedly indicates that it will be called Sharn Jenkin’s La Belle Restaurant.  Jenkins was the co-owner and chef of Voza restaurant on Columbus and 106th, which closed in January despite positive Yelp reviews and an acclaim from New York Magazine.  No word on a planned opening date for the new eatery.  Thanks to tipster Alex for the info.
