Upper West Side Openings: Blossom Du Jour

According to MUW reader (and kindergarten classmate) Jessica, the Blossom Du Jour at 165 Amsterdam (between 67th & 68th) had their official grand opening yesterday.
First mentioned in May, BDJ had been targeting a September 9th opening. Compared to other places in the neighborhood, being only a month behind schedule is actually pretty good!
BDJ specializes in “shrewd fast food.” Per their website:
Since 2005 Blossom Restaurant has been committed to providing delicious, healthy, cruelty free cuisine. At Blossom Du Jour, we are in the extraordinary position to make a positive impact on the “fast food industry” by offering food and beverage choices that are healthful, environmentally conscious, and prepared quickly and efficiently. People now have the opportunity to indulge in a new concept of food and drink on the go.
Serving: Organic Vegan Food Throughout The Day
Services: Eat In; Take Out; Catering; Local and Wide Range Delivery; Corporate and Private Events
Healthy-Happy-Life.com did a rather in-depth review of the Chelsea location if you’re looking for more information on what to expect.
Should be a welcome addition both to the UWS in general, and a rather desolate stretch of Amsterdam in particular.
Sorry for the short post tonight — need to attend to a personal matter.
