Upper West Side Openings and Closings
The uptown Lime Leaf Thai restaurant has closed down. The restaurant, located on Broadway and 108th, closed permanently, while the location on 72nd between Broadway and Columbus still seems operational. Thanks to My Upper West tipster Noah for the info.
Today’s opening news comes as some information about upcoming eateries comes out in Community Board 7′s Business & Consumer Issues Committee meeting agendas in recent months. A slew of liquor license applications have gone through in the committee meetings for upcoming establishments, winning approval from the committee. New spots include a yet-to-be-named spot at 509 Amsterdam (at 84th, in the Lightforms store location), the future Columbus Tavern at 269 Columbus (at 73rd, in the former City Grill location), and another unnamed spot at 507 Columbus (between 83rd and 84th, in the Akai Lounge space). Stay tuned for more developments as they occur.
