Racked (via Women’s Wear Daily) reports that J. Crew is opening a men’s shop at the Time Warner Center. Per Racked:

Taking a page from the Soho and Madison Avenue men’s stores, the new shop will include a suiting department, a shirt shop, shoes, and “third-party” items.

Elsewhere in the neighborhood, MUW reader Christina e-mailed to say that Blue Donkey (487 Amsterdam, between 83rd & 84th) appears to be in some sort of trouble. She writes:

“They have a bunch of notices taped to the door for illegal sale of alcohol.”

While this isn’t technically a closing, I’ve got one foot out the door and it will have to suffice for the time being. Hopefully I’ll have more on this at a later date.
