Even. More. Cupcakes.

On Monday there was news that a new Crumbs Bake Shop is opening on Broadway, near 109th. Now there’s a report of another one opening about 15 blocks south.

Readers Becca and Meghan both e-mailed to say they spotted Crumbs signage at the old Infinity West shoe store at 2476 Broadway (SE corner of West 92nd). This will be Crumbs’ fourth Upper West Side location, joining the soon-to-open spot mentioned above, as well as outposts at 775 Columbus and 350 Amsterdam. I’m still waiting to hear back from Crumbs about opening dates.

Nearby that northern Crumbs spot, reader Tom reports the Manchester Diner (2800 Broadway, between 108th & 109th) officially opened for business this past Monday. Manchester Diner took over the former West Way Cafe space and looks to be a similar type of place. Photo below also thanks to Tom.

If you missed the post this morning, the Godiva Chocolate store on at 2325 Broadway (between 84th & 85th) is closing to make way for mini-cupcake shop Baked By Melissa. Godiva will shutter on Saturday and is having an inventory clearance sale with items marked down between 25% – 50%.

UPDATE, 10/19/11: Baked By Melissa is officially open
