Upper West Side Openings & Closings: Pinkberry, Goodwill Store

Thursday, June 20th, 2013

Wrote back in April that Pinkberry was headed to the former Savann space a 414 Amsterdam (between 79th & 80th).

Word came last month that they were aiming to open in June and they’ve managed to hit that target — the store opened earlier this week.

Not a whole lot to say about this, but it’s the fifth Pinkberry on the UWS (sixth if you include the store one block south of Columbus Circle) and at least the 15th in NYC.

H/t to @rztek

A new Goodwill Store opened at 157 W. 72nd earlier today (between Amsterdam & Columbus).

This space was previously home to Hanssem Intelligent Kitchen.

There’s also a Goodwill located on West 79th and it’s unclear if they’ll be closing now the new location is open. I had a rather unproductive conversation with an employee there through a closed door earlier tonight.

He said they would be closing, but I’m not entirely sure he understood the question — I think he thought I was asking if they were closed for the night.

We’ll see…
