Racked has an update on the on the former Lancôme space at Columbus & 69th, and it involves a 2-for-1 opening of sorts.

It appears as though contemporary clothing chain Theory is moving from their current home on Columbus & 71st into the now vacant Lancôme spot two blocks south. Once Theory is out of their current space, a Helmut Lang will move into the former Theory space. Racked points out the two brands are owned by the same parent company, and a Theory staffer told them the move should take place in the next two months.

In closing news — if you missed the post on Saturday morning (a bit of abnormal time slot), Bacchus Wines is closing on Wednesday and is having a huge sale on all their remaining inventory. Click through to Saturday’s post for more information, although there’s a chance all the good stuff is gone by now. If you want to call them and awkwardly ask if there’s anything left for you to rummage through, their number is 212-875-1200.

Finally, an update on the enigmatic “Blossom” store coming to Broadway that was mentioned last week. I had asked if anyone knew what the store was, and within a matter of minutes @urpeace4 tweeted an answer: they’re a jewelry/accessory store. I e-mailed them asking for an update on when they’re opening, but I haven’t heard back.
