Upper West Side Openings: Machiavelli, Century 21, Blockheads Burritos

New Italian restaurant Machiavelli, mentioned last week, officially opens their doors tonight. MUW reader Kevin sent in this photo a little while ago with a note saying “Training the staff. All complete inside!”
In addition to the details initially posted last Tuesday, MUW reader Lisa, who already has a reservation for Friday night (let me know how it is), adds this:
“Open 7am to 2am! Coffee, lunch dinner and late night drinks!!”
I haven’t had a chance to speak with anyone there to find out the details or confirm those hours are 7 days/week. If so, that’s a fairly aggressive operating schedule for what appears to be a pretty nice place. More to come.
If you missed the news earlier, Century 21 (Broadway & 66th) decided to open a day earlier than originally scheduled — click on through for the details from this afternoon.
Finally, Kevin, who’s been Johnny-on-the-spot with the pictures recently, also sent in this photo update of the Blockheads Burritos slated for 635 Amsterdam (corner of 91st). They were originally targeting an October opening — no word if that’s still the plan or not.
