Upper West Side Openings: Marshalls

Monday, February 3rd, 2014

There have been rumors swirling for months that Marshalls planned to open an UWS store in the retail space at The Larstrand development on Broadway, between 77th & 78th.

So while perhaps it’s not exactly a surprise at this point, the signage recently became visible thanks to the construction site undergoing a bit of a clean up — MUW reader @jmagNYC sent in the photo above over the weekend.

In addition to Marshalls, the building is also slated to get a 10,000 square foot CVS.

Though initial reports indicated the building would house roughly 20,000 square feet of retail space, it looks like that figure is actually closer to 40,000 square feet, including two underground levels.

It’s not clear if there are any other commercial tenants planned for the building, but with the average Marshalls taking up 31,000 square feet, it would appear there may not be any additional space available.

No word yet on an opening date.
