Upper West Side Restaurant Review: Nice Matin’s Extensive Wine List Draws Raves
If you’re a wine aficionado you should absolutely check out Eric Asimov’s piece in yesterday’s New York Times about Upper West Side stalwart Nice Matin (201 West 79th, at Amsterdam).
While I think of it mostly for its packed brunches, it seems they’ve established quite the wine collection. Their list is a leather-bound book with almost 60 pages covering 2000 selections, ranging from trophy wines that you’re likely to never buy all the way down to what Asimov calls the “neighborhood-friendly $50 and under range.”
I typically prefer iced tea over wine, but if you’re an oenophile who’s been casing the local wine bars and viewed Nice Matin as a place only for Eggs Benedict on the weekends, you might want to give them a shot.
H/t to Nicholas for the link.
