You can add Cafe Ronda (249 Columbus, between 71st & 72nd) to the list of Upper West Side restaurants recently closed by the Health Department.
It joins Bellini, Dinastia China, Abbey Pub, Hungarian Pastry Shop, Freddie & Pepper’s, and Pomodoro, all of which reopened after they addressed DOH concerns.
Cafe Ronda was ordered closed on Monday, but they seem to have made the necessary upgrades quickly. They were already reopened for business with a “Grade Pending” sign when I walked by it earlier today.
Thanks to MUW reader Amanda for the tip, who noticed DOH signs posted on the restaurant last night, adding that Cafe Ronda is “very popular” and “always packed.”
