UWS Celebrity Real Estate News: David Duchovny Buys, Cynthia Nixon Sells

A couple of Upper West Side celebrity real estate transactions from the past week:
The Real Deal reports that David Duchovny is in contract to buy an apartment in The Ardsley, a upscale co-op at 320 Central Park West (between 91st & 92nd).
The apartment (3 BR, 2.5 BA) is “a 19th-floor corner unit that has views of the reservoir in Central Park, a fireplace and a terrace.” The asking price was $6.25 million — it last sold for $3.25 million in 2001.
The X-Files star is in the process of interviewing with the co-op board — apparently they once rejected Mariah Carey (she was trying to buy Barbara Streisand’s apartment at the time).
Curbed has photos and a floorplan — pretty nice views of the park.
Just as Duchovny is buying, Cynthia Nixon has officially sold her UWS pad.
The Sex And The City actress moved from the Upper West Side to the Village in February, but her old apartment at The Wellesley, a smallish co-op at 169 W. 78th (between Amsterdam & Columbus), just recently sold.
The Observer notes the apartment went for $1.59 million. Once again, Curbed has photos and a floorplan of the 3 BR, 2 BA unit.
