Kate Gosselin was in her ex’s new stomping grounds (Jon Gosselin is currently renting a two-bedroom pad at 72nd and Broadway) on Thursday when she made an appearance at the premiere of Life, a documentary airing on the Discovery Channel, at Lincoln Center’s Alice Tully Hall (65th between Broadway and Amsterdam).  The mother of eight sported her new hair extensions and brought her partner on the upcoming season of Dancing with the Stars, Tony Dovolani, succeeding at getting attention while promoting her new gig on the ABC dancing show.  Info and photo courtesy of Just Jared.

Also spotted in the neighborhood was fashion designer and former Project Runway contestant Austin Scarlett, spending time in Central Park last weekend and “looking fabulous,” according to the Twitterer.  Finally, actor Philip Seymour Hoffman was hanging out on the Upper West Side on Thursday, according to Twitter user @fotobloguer, who commented that he was “friendly” and “not much taller” than her.
