UPDATE 2:10 pm: Brilliant MUW readers Eileen and @sourcows pointed out that I omitted Grandaisy, which also has an UWS location. I’ve updated the post to reflect that the Upper West Side actually has FIVE of the top 10 spots, not just four as I had originally written.

Posted last week that UWS Grom Gelato made the Village Voice’s list of “10 Best Gelatos In NYC.”

While searching around The Voice’s site, I noticed they also recently featured a “10 Best Pastry Shops In NYC” list, and the Upper West Side nabbed four five of the top ten spots.

• #9 — Bouchon Bakery
• #7 — François Payard Bakery
• #6 — Grandaisy Bakery
• #5 — Momofuku Milk Bar
• #2 — Levain Bakery

Note: The list technically mentions other locations of François Payard Bakery, Grandaisy, and Milk Bar, but they’re pretty consistent across their relative brands, so I’m including the UWS outposts.

FPB opened a location in Columbus Circle last month and the UWS Milk Bar opened to much fanfare last fall.
