The new Eastern Mountain Sports store located in the Laureate (2152 Broadway, at 76th) opened for business earlier this month. However, their “official” grand opening event takes place this weekend (today through Sunday).

They’re featuring deals and raffle prizes. 1% of sales proceeds from this weekend will be donated to NYC Outward Bound. The following price packages are available (no purchase necessary to enter the raffle)

• Bike Package: Including a Jamis Commuter 1 Men’s 2012 bike, Osprey Raptor 14 hydration pack, one free registration to the 5 Boro Bike Tour, courtesy of Eastern Mountain Sports, and more!
• Camp Package: Including an EMS tent and sleeping bag, Black Diamond trailback poles, Spot Headlamp, and Apollo lantern, and more!
• Climb Package: Including a Black Diamond kit (harness, helmet, belay device, locking biner, quickpack draws, and 3 cams), a lesson with the EMS Climbing School, one free pair of Evolv shoes, and more!
• Travel Package: Including Osprey Shuttle 28, Urban Sherpa Winter Package (round trip transportation and an all mountain pass to Windham or Hunter Mountain! $85 value), A 3-month membership to the Jewish Community Center Health Club (a $400 retail value).

The store is open until 8 pm tonight. Saturday’s hours are 10 am – 8 pm, and Sunday’s are 11 am – 7 pm. Winners will be notified early next week.
