Looks like the Syms/Filene’s Basement liquidation sale is officially on its last legs. While it was originally supposed to to run through January, it now appears tomorrow (Thursday, 12/29) will be their last day.

The Syms is now officially closed, and the entire remaining inventory at Filene’s is marked down 80%. Bridal gown were marked down to $39, although I’m not sure if any are actually left.

I walked into the store a bit earlier today and the place was pretty bare. The little that remained was being picked through by locust-like shoppers.

If you feel like digging through the dregs for that diamond in the rough, the store will be open until 10:00 pm tonight.

Their hours for tomorrow are listed as “9:00 am – ???” — I guess it depends on when they run out of stuff.

In addition to clothing, they’re also selling all their fixtures and office equipment, with a sign in the store noting “no reasonable offer refused.” If you’re in the market for a filing cabinet, desk, etc., you might find something on the cheap. Keep in mind, you have to take the item with you on the spot.
