UWS Openings: Five Lamps

A bit of a quickie tonight as it’s my last night of vacation before heading home tomorrow.
There’s some action brewing at the former Meridiana space at 2756 Broadway (between 105th & 106th). The Italian restaurant closed back in September after nearly 20 years in the neighborhood.
It now appears as though a new restaurant is moving in.
MUW reader Talia sent in the photo above this morning. It might be a bit hard to see, but an operating company named “Five Lamps Corp” has applied for a liquor license for the site.
No word yet on what type of cuisine they’ll serve or when they’re opening.
That’s it for tonight. Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned… or like my girlfriend in our hotel room in Costa Rica waiting to go out for dinner while I repeat “one more minute” over and over again as I attempt to write a post about a liquor license application notice in a window 2,200 miles away…
