Had a ridiculous day today, so just a few quick notes tonight:

Posted on Monday and Tuesday about UWS newcomer The Purple Fig (250 W. 72nd, between Broadway & West End). Rumor had it they were opening sometime this week, but that appears not to be the case.

I spoke with someone there earlier today and the plan now is to open next Wednesday (5/2).

Elsewhere…

Mentioned a couple of weeks ago that Ritz Camera was relocating from 2400 Broadway (at 88th) to a much smaller space across the street. Thanks to MUW reader Kevin for the photo below — looks like the new spot will be open on Tuesday (5/1).

A reminder that tonight is the last night of the MTA’s FASTRACK maintenance on the A/C/E lines. There are major service changes between 10:00 pm and 5:00 am — click here for full details.

Lastly, Fratelli la Bufala (Broadway & 76th) is finally set to open for business tomorrow, starting at 11:30 am. I’ll have a post up tomorrow with pictures, a menu, and some initial thoughts from the preview event I attended earlier in the week.
