Posted back in April that a Paper Source is opening in the former Thérapie space at 309 Columbus (between 74th & 75th).
Looks like tomorrow is opening day.
Omnipresent unofficial staff photographer Kevin A. sent in the photo above and reports being told the store will open for business at 10:00 am on Friday.
To repeat from the earlier post:
Paper Source is a premier paperie and online retailer offering a unique selection of fine and artisanal papers, invitations and announcements, personalized and distinctive gifts, gift wrap, greeting cards, custom stamps, and a custom collection of envelope and cards. Paper Source offers an original aesthetic, with a color palette and proprietary designs that are developed and created exclusively by us.
Additional details at paper-source.com.
Kevin A. also reports the Go Wireless store at Columbus & 75th is now closed. A sign in the window say’s “This store is moving,” but no address is given, just a link to GoWireless.com (which has no additional information).
I doubt anyone will miss this place, but it’s noteworthy in that there’s now a nice corner space available for rent.
Tonight is the final night of the latest MTA FASTRACK maintenance project. There are major service changes and station closures on the 1/2/3 subway lines from 10:00 pm – 5:00 am.
Finally, mentioned last night that chef Alex Garcia’s A.G. Kitchen was set to open today after a short transformation from its previous incarnation as Columbus Tavern (269 Columbus, between 72nd & 73rd).
MUW reader Amy passed by earlier today and sent in a photo of the menu — (click below for a full-size version).
It certainly looks promising, including cerviches, mini-tacos, a variety of burgers, paella, three kinds of guacamole, and what’s described as “NYC’s best Cubano” (which I will judge for myself at some point soon).
Pricing seems fairly reasonable.
