Great photo from MUW reader Rodrigo Maroni (posted his UWS neon sign montage last month) that I’ve been meaning to get up for a while.
This was shot from the roof of Dorchester Towers (155 West 68th) using tilt-shift/miniature faking. I’m not sure if it was done optically or via post-production.
If you’re not familiar with “miniature faking,” you can get a brief overview here. Google that or “tilt shift photography” and you’ll probably be able to kill an hour on the internet looking at fantastic images (here are 50 other examples).
